That's a intresting one unless there a service change due up or a error surly can't just cancel a route without usual 90 day notice? |

From the Green Lane thread (seemed more appropriate in here): (02/02/2025 18:02)Route102 Wrote: As the Click Speke service is closing in April a replacement 211 service will commence. The Click sprinters will be withdrawn in the coming weeks. Is the new 211 likely to be operated by Arriva from the Speke depot? It would make sense seeing as they now have wheel-forward Streetlites to negotiate tighter roads, and the fact they took over a handful of other former HTL tendered routes in the area (i.e. 166/188 and 3/3A). But saying that HTL still has the 174 in Belle Vale and the 17 in Widnes, so I don't think it would be too far a stretch for them to take the 211 back, which would happily suit their Sprinters? |

It said in the same post that GL are due to only get two permanent Sprinters between Clatterbridge and the 201 so I think they are planning to split them. Would make sense to keep them interworked though to keep cost down, as it’s mostly concessionary pass holders who will use it. |

RE: Upcoming service changes in Merseyside
Merseytravel has now opened a consultation for the replacement of the Arriva Click Speke service. They’re going back to a scheduled circular bus service, but have proposed two options for the routing and timetable which are: Proposal 1 - A 40 minute service (identical to the previous 211 circular route within the Speke estate) including (amongst other roads); South Parade, Dam Wood Road, Speke Town Lane, Tarbock Road, Morrisons Supermarket, Millwood Road, Maintree Crescent, Elloway Road, East Millwood Road, East Dam Wood Road. Proposal 2 - A 60 minute service that takes in all of the above, but also extends to; Woodend Avenue, Hillfoot Avenue (for connection with Hunts Cross Rail Station), Speke Hall Road (Hunts Cross Shopping Centre - Asda, Matalan, B&M), Speke Boulevard (Home Bargains, Food Warehouse, Speke Training & Education Centre), Penketh Drive then onto Millwood Road etc. Personally I think Proposal 2 makes the most sense. It combines the 211 with the old ‘Asda Free Bus’ ran by HTL quite a few years ago, which was quite popular, but wasn’t commercially viable for Asda to keep it running towards the end. |

Here’s the link: https://online1.snapsurveys.com/ArrivaClickSpeke I’ll attach a picture I got sent of the poster as well for authenticity, as I know the link doesn’t look too official |
