The Lancashire telegraph confirms that only 1 bus was seized as part of a safety roads policeing sting. The driver of the bus didn't have the correct category on his licence to entitle him to drive the vehicle so even though the company held valid insurance it was void as the driver didn't hold the correct licence. According to the transport manager of the firm the driver has worked there for 20 years, his licence was last checked in July and was fine for him to drive, for whatever reason he hasn't renewed the licence since so the category has expired which is why the bus was seized - apparently.
