The amount involved in player contracts is buttons compared to what the circus of eastern european 'oligarchs' have cost the club over the past few years. Whoever does the 'fit and proper person' assessments on prospective new owners at the FA is a joke, and should be re-deployed to something they are perhaps more competent at - say checking referees pencils are sharp enough before a game? |
