Brendan Rodgers has been announced as Liverpool's new manager - an excellent choice in my opinion and he has my full backing and support. I am looking forward to the new season and also to what changes happen during the transfer window.
Also from this season the League Cup is now known as the Capital One Cup.

Good luck to Mr Rodgers - he'll need it. It generally takes at least 3 to 4 years to bring success to a stale / fading club, and things sometimes get worse before they get better, but managers are rarely allowed to stay long enough to complete the project. The success of a team at the other end of the A580 shows what happens when a manager (Ferguson) is allowed enough time.

Indeed, just as the success of a team in West London shows what happens when an unsuitable manager is changed for a suitable one, even within a season.
Right call. I didn't want Rogers particularly, but it's certainly an improvement over both what went before and Martinez, so all the very best to Rogers. A pleasant, modest sort of bloke and certainly not one to court controversy and come across like an ignorant fool in interviews.

I agree - Dirk Kuyt has always been one of my favourite Liverpool players. Good luck to him at Fenerbahce.
