I thought it'd be a good idea to have a thread to keep track of the new stock and any resulting cascades. If anyone has any further information it'd be much appreciated

My understanding is that the hydrogen-powered ADLs for the 10A service are to be purchased by LCR/Merseytravel and not Arriva.

I know that's the case but I thought it'd be worth including them anyway as at least some of them will be operated by Arriva

Hope the StreetDeck's are better than the StreetLights, shocking that someone actually designed something so bad

Let's hope these the build quality of these StreetDecks is better than the similar looking Gemini 3 hybrids, as those have not aged at all well.

Hopefully the engines will have improvements too over the Daimlers seen at First, Diamond etc which are very prone to problems!

The engines will be the same if Arriva have spec them with the OM934 I hope they’ve chosen the much better OM936 they need the extra power

Despite the almost universal condemnation of the StreetLites that LS had delivered several years ago and the clear failings of the underpowered engine in the StreetDecker reported elsewhere one does wonder why these have been ordered. Are they that much cheaper? If so, the old adage "Buy cheap, buy twice" needs to be considered.

The Wright B10Ms were solid workhorses and perfectly suited to the demands of inner-city operation and the Arriva app and site is appalling since it was revamped. Perhaps there is some truth in the suggestion that Arriva is in deliberate manged decline.

I think it's more a case of having no choice. They've been wanting to sell the UK bus side of things off for a while, seem to be stuck with it for the foreseeable, and with Euro 6 rules coming in all over the shop, mixed with 15year rules like we have on Merseyside, it's a case of having no choice but buying new buses - the cheapest on the market - to replace their aging fleets or not run at all.
