According to the Arriva North West Facebook page 4476-8 are due to return here as a result of Green Lane's 3159-61 transferring to Winsford

Since 4476-78 left for Winsford there have been many instances of single deckers on the depots main routes 79 82 and 86. The return of these buses should keep the help keep the number of these instances down.

Just to sound a note of caution on 4476-78, the post on the Arriva NW Facebook page doesn't actually specify where they are moving to, just that Winsford has lost them. Of course, the obvious place is back to Speke where a full decker allocation is needed, but you never know with Arriva.

I did also hear a rumour that Speke are planning to tart up and brand three Geminis for the 500, so 4476-78 would fit, but I stress just a rumour.

"Full House" of deckers on the 79 today - a President (4182), Volvo Eclipse Gemini (4206), Volvo ALX400 (sorry can't recall which one), Enviro400 (4567 I think), plus of course plenty of the regular VDL Geminis.

Of course none of these are especially rare occurrences, but it's the first time recently that I've noticed all five types on the same day.

Merseytravel did say they would a be trialling a night service on "a " QBP service this year, so this may be it.

Arriva doing one this side of the Mersey and Stagecoach the other side? Stagecoach did run the 82/86 night bus december last year like.
