Preston Bus have posted the timetable for the 180/280/X80 service. They will run the service at similar times to the current Transdev service. Some early morning and late afternoon journeys are re-timed with some journeys continuing to/from Preston rather than terminating at Whalley/Clitheroe. The last journey from Preston to Barnoldswick is withdrawn.

Meanwhile, Wigan Coachways look to have stepped in to replace some planned withdrawn services. TfGM's Service Changes pages lists two new Tuesday and Friday only services running between Wigan and Chorley.

Service 351 will run via Pemberton, Roby Mill, Wrightington Hospital, Standish and Coppull, while service 361 will run via Standish and Coppull only. These services should replace the 206 and the 362 diversion via Old Parish. It also would restore a link between Chorley and Wrightington Hospital lost when Stagecoach's 327 service was withdrawn.

Finally, Stagecoach will continue operations of the 24A and 109A in Chorley.

So quite an expansion then for Preston Bus who will now be seen for the first time in Ormskirk, Clitheroe and Skipton. Also interesting is Kirkby Lonsdale gaining the 89/89H from Stagecoach.

I am very surprised that Blackpool Transport or Preston Bus, did not gain this, when you look at the timetable the bus starts at Pilling in the morning and finishes at Knott End in the evening.

Makes you wonder if they'll take the Work off Atherton depot in Ormskirk and interwork them??

Think its only the EL1 they have now so only uses 1 bus anyway. as well as that the 3A links up with other Atherton services at the other end of the route.
