I did not actually see the owner's details which are usually at the rear nearside of the vehicle.

That could be whilst they await for legal paperwork to arrive. Therefore the details can't be applied Untill then I believe

Rosso will be seen more in the streets in Oldham from next month. In addition to the contract gains of services 407 and 412 during Sunday daytime, they will also be stepping in to take over some planned withdrawn services by First.

They will take over the Monday-Saturday daytime services on service 408 between Shaw and Oldham and service 412 between Middleton and Oldham. They will also take over First's 456/458 service in Rochdale with a revised timetable.

Nice to see Roso back in Oldham, for anyone not in the know apart from the Schools they currently operate in the area Rosso actually used to have the full evening/Sunday tender for 408 Shaw-Stalybridge service until quite a number of years ago

The Omnicities should spend most of their time on 463 Bacup-Burnley service which has replaced Transdev Burnley's own 9 Bacup-Burnley service which has recently been withdrawn

516 has already been returned to Nottingham - 517 may return soon as well. During their stay they've been largely on 463 Burnley to Bacup (replacement for withdrawn Transdev service 8) but when there were two in use they were regularly allocated on the morning 273 journey to Bolton.

Admin - any chance we can change the title of this thread to the more recent branding? Blush

RE: Rossendalebus
Noticed a couple of Rosso solos in recent days in or around Stalybridge with what looked like full loads of drivers all making notes. Spotted one again today and it seemed to be doing the old 408 route turning right just before Tameside College. Now I know Rosso do schools in the Oldham/Tameside area but just wondering if the 408's are possibly being extended to stalybridge again.

It might be route learning for the school services at Blue Coat school in Oldham. The 125 runs between Blue Coat School in Oldham and Mottram via Abbeyhills and Stalybridge, while the 127 runs from Gee Cross to Blue Coat via Dukinfield, Stalybridge and Abbeyhills (Stotts runs the afternoon journey).

The only other school service in Tameside operated by Rosso is the 803 from Mossley to Oldham following a similar route to the 343.

But Rosso have run these for a while now. The Ollys were a regular sight running along mottram road, plus I believe they have a small pool of dedicated drivers for schools. It just seems a bit odd to show every driver a school service lol.

Yeah could well be.
Just seems strange that on 3 seperate days now (fri, tues, wed) I've seen drivers route learning. As I've said they have done these schools for 2 school years now so the majoirty would already know the route but anyway could be something and nothing.
