Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Wrexham Depot
It seems like the sapphire 1 service will be extended to chester bus exchange from 31st May . The pvr might have to increase and chester bus exchange will be getting another frequent bus service in its station

Would this be a Chester loop rather than terminating at the Bus Exchange , would make sense to depart from the Bus Exchange southbound .

Well i know nothing of that and i hardly doubt there going to send the 1 to the Bus Station after Chesters 10 is already being pulled away from the Railway Station, so that would not be very logical would it.

I assume conbus is basing his assumption on the service alteration posted above concerning the 1, which is only fair enough. It's of course possible that the change is yet to filter down at depot level with it still being a while away.

I'd be very surprised if the 1 was pulled from the railway station entirely. It carries good numbers there especially to/from the business park. A city loop would be more realistic like the 10 now does, although I can't really see the point in all honesty as it serves all the places it needs to now. Time will tell I suppose.

No one mentioned the 1 pulling away from the Chester Station?

Anyway on the other hand Wrexhams Solos are coming from Bolton as i posted a while back about us receiving 5 they are currently recieving refubishment in St Helens with a all new brand of 'WrexNet' short for Wrexham Network although they are to using the MAX Livery but time will tell these are to withdraw the Oldest Darts in the Wrexham fleet 0838/0848/0849/0852/0864 and the Brand new Enviro 200s will also be receiving 'WrexNet' when they arrive in July.

Hi Macauley

As 838/848/9/52 are DDA compliant, could these perhaps live on a little longer or considered time expired shortly? I have the following as non DDA at Wrexham that are still in use as seen in use over the last few weeks:

864/901/903/913

Also are the AirCon MPDs DDA certified? 872/7/8/9? Believe they were delayed registered when new @ Crewe. Are the likes of 914/16-20 expected to remain post now stock arriving?

One I forgot to ask you recently, do you know where 841 has gone? No sign of it on my recent logging on the stored stock.

Regards
Chris

And I never said anybody did.

I was just expressing my opinion about what the change will be, not replying to any post in particular. If that's ok with you of course?

Alright Chris, there the list i was given for disposal but 901/3 may see the end of their lifes soon when 2556/57 are back on the road also 2425 is now ours also so they are here as backup before getting Withdrawn or sent back them selves.

I believe the Y-TDAs are DDA Compliant hence them getting a longer life than most 914 916-920 will all remain here with the Arrival of Solos and the Enviro 200s they are to be given another 1/2 years of life here at Wrexham if not longer.

841 is sat on the road side fence it can be seen just through the gap its parked next to 2557 has been parked there since it has been withdrawn

Also just to add ontop of that the two former Arriva Midlands DAF DB250s sat in the compound are now allocated to Arriva Shires & Essex and are set to depart in the near future.

Hope all above helps
Macauley.

Thanks Macauley for the reply and info with 841, must have missed that one when looked a few weeks ago but thanks for confirming its location.

I would be interested to see 2556/7 on the road.

Regards
Chris.
