Greater Manchester Tenders
RE: Greater Manchester Tenders
A service I thought would come up for retender would be route 197 on Sundays. It was taken up by Finglands in Spring 2011 and MCT in Spring 2013. I therefore thought it was due for retender. Maybe it has been retendered and retained by MCT, hence its omission from any lists of changes.

RE: Greater Manchester Tenders
I'm surprised about stagecoach and the 81; only Sunday night but surprised first didn't do anything to undercut that...

Yes but I am surprised they didn't just say; screw it we will run it commercially so stagecoach don't have it - remember when MayTree got a Salford keys contract and Stagecoach started the 50? And the shuttle was cancled

Thank you for this comprehensive list. A name conspicuous by its absence is Arriva. It is good that First are gaining route 22 tendered journeys, presumably from MCT, as this means I can use my Megarider again!

I tend to lose track of which routes M Travel run.

In regards to the 22; it is weird that you can use another operators pass on a service; tenders are bid upon on a basis of £******* + takings and this practice would hurt takings considerably; I can understand how it helps the public but isn't this why system ones exist? I know they're more expensive and I have a staff pass and don't pay anyway but my point remains

Bit in advance but here we go, from 19th of July the 31 from Manchester/ Pendleton - Farnworth Tender currently ran by First Manchester will be Withdrawn, It will be partly replaced by a 29 from Farnworth - Salford Shopping City, Not sure whos running it as of yet, think its still out for Tender.

Will be withdrawn if approved in the TfGM Commitee meeting on Friday. The 29 would run as the 31 until Old Clough Lane (just outside Walkden) then run to Swinton, Salford Royal Hospital and Pacific Quays to Salford Shopping Centre.

Other proposals from TfGM to services in July (unless stated) are:
*Withdraw the Sunday services of the 21 and 286 in Altrincham
*Withdraw the Saturday service of the 304 (Hyde-Marple)
*Withdraw the late Monday-Saturday evening journeys (after 2100) on the 312.
*Split the evening/Sunday 328 service to run as 329 between Stockport and Reddish.
*Re-route the 372 in North Bramhall
*380/381 to no longer serve Brinnington and increased to half-hourly each, replacing service 386. Service numbers on Sunday journeys to swap. (Currently operated by First, subject to tender bids)
*Re-number all 404 journeys to 403 and re-route service in High Crompton.
