Yeah reckon it's replacements for what were the 4000-01 Trident's and 4200-05 B7's that were originally allocated to LS. Strange to think of those deckers being 14 years old by the Autumn/Winter too.

There are only six of the older deckers left at Birkenhead now (4202-05/4001/02) so these are more than likely to be replaced as a result. The VLWs could see a bit more use elsewhere, with Speke a good destination for further use on the 699. It will more than likely be the end for the Tridents though, which is a bit of a shame as they ride a lot better than the VLWs.
