From this date all evening and Sunday services will be operated from Arriva's Green Lane depot (as 68A) still under contract from merseytravel. An independent didn't win this one nor' stagecoach perminantly after the emergency contract ending as merseytravel felt it would be better value for the passengers with Arriva day and weekly tickets. A very talked about subject by passengers to merseytravel and following the results of survey checks revealing "Which ticket did you use today" on the daytime services

It makes sense to keep it with the company that has it during the day, at the moment those that get an arriva weekly, daysaver etc have to pay if they are out on that route during the evening or on Sundays, it's not like they have an alternative without having to go the long way round, and in some parts there is not even a long way round.

I guess there are quite a lot of points on the route which are only a short walk from 60/61, but admittedly not everywhere.

There are but not between Walton and Anfield in particular, plus those that go between Bootle strand and hornby road as well.
