They look the same length to me, but that's just judging from the photos. |

The new ones look about the same length as Bootle's MX09 examples. |

Also the ADL website says the Euro 5 Enviro 400 comes in lengths of 10.2m, 10.9m and 11.4m. So I'm guessing that the new ones and the MX09s are about 10.9m and the CX58s are about 11.4m. |

The 11.4 is probably what the Stagecoach X2 branded scanias are, these do not look as long as those,. |

The CX58 looks about 11.m to me then maybe they are the same length. I've just always thought that they look longer for some reason oh well |

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot
The Bootle and former Birkenhead Enviro400s are definitely the same length. The identical window arrangements and seating capacities are proof of this. I assume Speke's are also the same length, which according to the Alexander Dennis website is 10.9 metres. They're either 10.8 or 10.9 metres anyway. (I dare say it's possible the Enviro400 was extended slightly when it was given a makeover circa 2012.) The CX58s are Euro IV and the MX09s Euro V which is a significant difference between the two older batches. As a result of the engine changes, the radiator vents are positioned on opposite sides of the bus. Bootle's 4423 is to my knowledge the first ever Euro V Enviro400. As far as I know, the 11.4 metre Enviro400 is rare in the UK. Reading Buses have a few, which feature two smaller windows in the centre of each deck. Here is an example photo (copyright Chris GBNL). Not too sure about the 10.2 metre version, but I believe it is largely restricted to the two-door London version. There are probably a few single door examples elsewhere though.

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot
All the Arriva North West enviro 400's are the standard 10.8 meter length. The Stagecoach North West enviro 400's are also 10.8M, they just have a larger engine compartment and shorter 'fuselage' for passengers hence the lower capacity. As mentioned the 11.4 m enviro 400 is VERY rare, and the smaller 10.2m is generally found in london only. The new Euro 6 enviro 400MMC will be larger centimeters however due to the engine. Helms of eastham own a 10.2m ex demonstrator. |

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot
Ah so the SC ones look longer because of the engine compartment, that will be why I thought they were longer. Almost an optical illusion really |
