There probably doing the best of a bad lot at the moment , when you get warmish weather like this depots with older vehicles which are prone to overheating will just about try to cover there work with anything that moves , which may mean that vehicles that are not suited for certain routes have to go out to cover the mileage .

Compare the difference in the drivers rate of pay. Stagecoach drivers are on between 4-8 pound an hour less than Arrivas drivers. Then you can compare their buses and see thatSStagecoachs are in much better condition and looked after better. Says a lot about Arriva

Stagecoach are only £0- £1 an hour less than us but managment can only work with what they have in front of them and are doing there up most best to improve things.

More than £1 an hour. Not sure about Arriva but the 3 stagecoach merseyside depots have different rates of pay, and the worst is £8 an hour less than one of Arriva North West depots.

Speaking about rates of pay I know that St Helens Depot drivers are on more than their counterparts at Bolton Depot not to sure what the difference is though
