This is interesting.. A temporary summer timetable to fit around a lack of school buses maybe? I'd have suggested a possibly summer link through to Southport but would I be correct in thinking that if that were the case, it'd be stated in the registration variation as a secondary end point (i.e. Ormskirk/Southport)?

I think if some extra Southport journeys were going to be introduced, it would state that the service would be running between St Helens and Southport. I think the places named are the furthest points of where the service runs to. I could be (and probably am!) wrong though!

Thanks for that 27701, I did think that could be the case!

@St Helens Rider, If so, then residents in those areas must have gotten Lancashire County Council to subsidise those journeys. I know Oliver Howarth is no longer involved but when I spoke to him regarding it, he stated that they simply couldn't continue to run profitably through that area due to a lack of users aside from those with passes and the increased wear and tear the poor road surfaces were causing the vehicles.
