Avon are adding to there commercial work now that Impera have disappeared . From the 13th October. 164 / 165 Woodside - New Ferry will be operated without subsidy by Avon. 411 Woodside - New Brighton will also be operated without subsidy by Avon. Avon will also operate the 39c , 107 , 203 , 207 , 208 |

So it seems the very first replacements of these routes where just to ensure some continuity . The 164 and 165 will probably be renumbered in the Avon commercial sequence of 64 and 65 in due course. If Avon in the fullness of time doesnt alter the 411 it will probably stay with that number . |

It had great potential! One of Impera's best routes. Cant remember but did it follow the old First 39 route? |

The First 39 operated from Birkenhead Bridge Street to Eastham / Mill Park . Think at the time it was the longest route operated on the Wirral. |
