Stockton's 1494 is the latest victim of the Mandale Bus Lane, involved in a minor smash with a DPD Van this lunchtime. The damage doesn't look too bad from photos taken at the scene so it shouldn't be off for too long.

I've been told it could be off the road for up to a month. Prestige 4062 is likely to be retained to cover until it returns. 1452 was also involved in an RTC today although less damage to that one.

If you check the comments on the facebook photo, it was on delivery to Darlington and wasn't in service despite the destination.

No idea which photo you are looking at, but the photo I've seen has no comment regarding that fact.

1506-11 should be in service either the end of the week or early next week, they are currently awaiting ticket machine base plates to be fitted, Neil wise of darlington depot told me this (1507 to be delivered into Darlington tomorrow morning 12/06/11)


Other news According to S.Foster of Darlington depot 1498 should be coming to darlington as part of the X1 Spare bus when it returns from ireland after its accident

Funny that, 1498 is reportedly destined for Stockton as the extra vehicle for the increased PVR on the 15 since the extension to Ingleby Bawick in January. Darlington have enough Pulsars once 1506-11 are in service to cover the X1 and 1/5/5a (1404-7/24-8/92/3 1506-11 is 17, 6 on the X1 and 9 on the 1/5/5a leaves 2 spare). Stockton right now needs all the Pulsars it can get considering there's now two VOR (1494 after Monday's RTC, 1451 long-term).

1498 will go to Darlington, simply to displace either 1492/1493 back to Stockton for Service 15.

The same photo was also posted on the Arriva Bus News and Photos facebook group, where the driver commented that it was being delivered to Darlington depot and not in service.
