RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot

The main routes are the 432/33 and 437 but they presumably need no more than the 23 which was the number of Enviros delivered some 5 years ago. And I think there has been a reduction in frequency on those routes within the last five years so 33 seems an awfully high number. Are they destined for all Cross-River routes including the 407 and 464? Or where? They're for use on the 407, 432, 433, 437, 464, 471 and 472 so there isn't much need for much of the previously cascaded double deck stock apart from vehicles fitted with a tachograph of cause, and yes some of the hybrids are fitted with them too. |

I have also seen a photo of a hybrid (probably the same bus as R874 ERE has seen)on the 410, with 'New Brighton 410' on the rear dest, on the 410 route. Quite a few deckers running around on routes that do not need them now, Enviro400 and a Gemini on the 492/5 today, however with LS needing these for the Mersey Ferries they have to go somewhere. |

Some are staying for Rail Replacements when required, so bound to see a few on non decker routes. My Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/31135444@N02/ |

Yeah, not sure on what buses are in the Rail Replacement fleet now, as the DLAs have left. Hybrids are currently being parked in these spaces. If the President's stay these could be the best option if not then 3 Gemini's. Also seen a President and Enviro on the 403/13 today. |
