yea i bet it did while one of the gems was having work done to it, i think (not sure) but it may of been on a 84 short

2616 Was indeed on the 84 longs yesterday, A Driver broke the ticket maching base plate in Chester on 2503, So it replaced that

3360 Breaking down isn't unusualy

Whichever Olympian it was, the destination display was virtually impossible to read.

A bit of a surprise just now. Solo SR 709 ( MX12 KVE ) was on the 1510 84 short from Nantwich to Crewe this afternoon. This is the first time I have seen one of the Solos on Crewe/ Winsford routes rather than Macclesfield.

I seem to remember that I read somewhere - was it 'Buses'? - that one of the Solos was indeed going to Crewe for the 8 but I assumed the needs of Wythenshawe took preference with their two 700/705 leaving the bare 8 701-4/6-9 for the Macc locals.

Yes, One of the Solos is supposed to be going to WD Depot to work the 8's Monday-Friday, and 29B's on saturday's

Gaw End lane's PVR reduced by 1 when the contract for the interworked 1 and 14 services passed to High Peak a few weeks back. Therefore, a Solo is now 'spare'.

709 is the one currently at Winsford now, Worked the 85 this morning meaningit went on either 8's or 84 Shorts
