I think its more a case of do not allocate DLAs to the 432/3/7 unless its the last option - I hear the enviros are getting ever more unreliable at the moment so perhaps 4158 was the only bus avaliable to cover for a breakdown or bus VOR?

Then again this is Arriva, one idea one week then another the next! A notice went up in the depot a few weeks ago telling drivers that they cannot take a bus out of the depot on lates unless the board says so. This rule seems to have gone back out the window again!

As for the new pulsars on the 403/13, i think they are certainly in the minority with a couple on it occasionaly. Im not a regular user of the service but im sure its mostly cadet covered -with the odd pulsar thrown in to keep the passengers feeling as if they havnt been forgotten after downgrading them to cadets so the 59 plates could cover 401s!

The final comment here has prompted me to ask about the 3000-11 Pulsar batch. I am a fairly regular user of the 1 and 2 between Chester and Liverpool and have noticed that the Pulsar requirement from Laird Street is only 5 buses, all for the 2. I have occasionally seen one on the 403/413 but this means half of the batch sees little or no use. Do they have any other regular duties?

410/1

SNL824 is right, the new 2012 batch where brought in to replace the ELC and Alexander bodied DAF SB220s, so they also cover the 410/1 and occasionally get the odd one on the 418/9.

Lately there has been 2 pulsars allocated on 487s daily, and one was on 464s today too. 3129 was one of todays 487 duo. I did catch the other one which was a 59 plate, but didnt check which one.

The livery for the Wright bodied B5LHs for Laird Street and Bolton has been published on Arriva's website.

That does look quite smart - looks better than the new standard fleet livery !

So Stagecoaches hybrid livery is silly as well. I think its a good idea having a special livery for these eco-freindy buses as it makes them stand out

RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
It says "bright new livery".

Surely that's darker than Arriva's standard livery?!
