Just because it's not the fastest doesnt mean a vehicle won't make it Andy does it really. Being slower doesnt mean it will not do a long trip.

All im going to say is 1236 did the MTT proud on Sunday and taking 1236 on a run like that will have done the world of good Smile

It's amazing how economical an Atlantean can be on a long run :-)
It did us proud. Didn't seem that long on the way back...especially asleep on the back seat!

saw a leaflet yesterday advertising an open day for the class 502 at burscough on 18th nov,guess this mean that the buses will also be available to view that day am i correct

The only info I have got at this time is that the MTT are running buses from Burscough Interchange and Ormskirk Bus Station for the event but all buses will be on show as the train is in the back of the MTT shed

Andy, the MTT have not been asked to run a shuttle bus on this occasion. Public transport links are however readily available as detailed on the 502 Group's website.
