Parked (or rather packed!) in yard at Blyth depot yesterday, were four MPD's, 1709/15/40/41
(V709/715/740/741 DNL)plus two unidentified MPD's(I couldn't see over the wall!) Could these be for withdrawal/disposal? Perhaps the loss of the service 53 from Blyth depot has rendered them surplus. Also, inside the depot was a Durham Park&Ride liveried Solo (unable to get number).

Strange why a Park and Ride Solo is all the way at Blyth?

I did think that it was odd seeing it there-maybe it was en-route to Thorntons for repaint into standard fleet colours? I will try to find out more details.

As far as I'm aware all of the Park and Ride solos are back at Belmont - I'll have a check on Thursday when I'm back at work to double check.

RE: Arriva North East
Seems to be some changes already to the County Durham changes before they even start, all X1 journeys will now run right along Stockton High Street all day rather than evening and Sunday services contiuning to use the current route.

Some news has come to my attention in terms of some further Stand changes on Stockton High Street from the 29th October:

Service 7/7a: Will move from Stand 11 (outside Lloyds TSB Bank) to Stand 13
Service 15: Will move from Stand 13 to Stand 12
Service 17a (arriving) and 17 (departing): Will move from Stand 14 to Stand 12
Service 21a will remain on Stand 10 along with the X1 and X66

These changes bring the North End Southbound stands in-line with the stops at the South End.

Presumably MOT. Haven't quite sussed how they decide whether to use Blyth or Stockton for testing a certain bus, geography doesn't seem to be a factor!

RE: Arriva North East
Darlington now have MAN EcoCity WX61 FXO.

The X1 dupe was today in the hands of 7265.

There was an incident at the Mile House on Durham Road earlier today involving an Arriva vehicle. Which vehicle, and what route, was involved is currently unknown however I can confirm it wasn't the 6 (MPD 1769).

I should point out that it is only on driver familiarisation.

It's a bit late, Steve Foster said it should have been there when the Seaburn Rally was on!
