RE: First Manchester
First Manchester changes listed on TfGM website, some of which have already been mentioned (64, 67/100, 81A, 82/83, 180/184, 350, 415). New details are: The 18 is listed as being extended to serve the University of Manchester, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Rusholme, so if accurate, the service is being extended further than initially thought. Additional journeys will be introduced too. Timetable changes will take place on services 17 (tie in with the 18) 24, 68, 81 (tie in with the 81A), 98, 149 (Sunday daytime), 181, 182, 348, 472/474 (peak times) and X84 (re-timed to run a minute earlier from Manchester). The 1750 weekday 27 journey from Manchester is re-timed to run 5 mins later, the 0853 and 0923 Saturday journeys from Shaw to Middleton on the 58 will start from Rochdale and the 1823 Saturday journey from Manchester on the 59 is extended to Rushcroft. The 410/411 will re-route some journeys via the new Waterhead Academy school, which is opening soon, and those schoolday journeys will be re-numbered 410A and 411A. |

Additional journeys will be introduced too. It's not being extended than initially thought, this was always planned. The original plan was to terminate in the MRI grounds but only if they got permission to do so. There was a back-up plan registered and this was stated in the registration that this was only to happen if they could not get said permission. As a result, the 18 will run down to Great Western Street, looping round Upper Lloyd Street and onto Moss Lane East. |

RE: First Manchester
Does anybody know what the new PVR will be for the newly extended 18 service and how many extra vehicles will be needed for the service and am I right in thinking this is the reason for the extra Geminis QS are receiving at the moment |
