S878SNB has not been at Tarvin since it left to work from the Middlewich depot.

CA53GHA is being used on the 289 service

Welcome to the group and thank you for the information.

There appears to be a few operational changes happening in Tarvin. I noted a full size bus (VX51RBO) working the 48 to Farndon instead of the usual Solo. Also full size buses appear to be used as staff facilities at Ellesmere Port.

The Trident / ALX400 (V220MEV) should be over soon. It has seen service albeit on schools out of Ruabon. It was apparently used as the Olympian S644KJU has failed. The Trident has yet to have destination equipment fitted and is still in all over silver. Don't know whether it will get painted or even have vinyls.

I have a website which looks at the bus and coach operators in North East Wales. There are current fleetlists for all operators and most have a full historic fleet list.
Included are current depot fleet lists for Arriva Cymru. There are also a number of ceased opertators with historic fleet lists including the GHA Group

RE: GHA Group (GHA Coaches, Bryn Melyn and Vale Travel)
Sigh. The first time that I ever intended to travel with GHA, and I was wildly disappointed.

A few days ago (before the cancellation of the X36 was due), I began waiting for the X36 at John Lennon Airport at about 1130.
It didn't turn up, so I thought, okay, it's probably delayed.
It got to 1210 and I thought, I'll wait for the next one.
The appointed time came (1240), and still nothing.
I kept waiting just in case that one was late too.

After 1hr30, I asked someone who works at Arriva whether they knew anything about it, and they said that GHA had decided to cancel it a week before they were meant to!

There was nothing on the bus shelter or timetable to this effect.
(I don't know whether that's the council's fault or GHA's though).

There was a change to route and timetable registered with VOSA last week for the 48. Might this be a reason for different buses being used? I should add that I haven't come across a new timetable, either on GHA's website or the CWAC website.

OK - I'll answer my own question having visited Middlewich today - T317UOX is now operating the 319 service replacing the poorly S878SNB

Other vehicles now at Middlewich include:- YN54OAW and YN04OAU the recently acquired Scania K94IB4 / Irizar S-kool yellow livered 70 seaters

Present was N8GHA (In Flintshire Connexions livery) which is to work the X20 and X81's

J52EDM (step Dart) was also there - not sure if temporary or there as a spare for the other two service buses.

Others seen were 144UXB, DA04GHA, J730KBC, M200TPT, M272SBT, RIL9160, VK05YBM, YLP528 and 6052VT

I have been very kindly informed of the background to the changes on the 48. Apparently there is now some heavy loadings involving school children and a larger vehicle was required. However this provides an additional problem negotiating part of the route within Northwich. The route has therefore been slightly modified and hence the reason for the short notice of change of registration - no timetable changes appear involved.

RE: GHA Group (GHA Coaches, Bryn Melyn and Vale Travel)
I have been kindly given this information from our friend in GHA.

Newly acquired is Scania OmniCity YN56NNA ex Arriva MN 3550 in currently County Links green yellow livery, may possibly go to Bryn Melyn joining similar vehicle for 501/576 corridor.

From Monday Oct 1st GHA/VLT take over the 200 Wilmslow - Manchester Airport contract service for Cheshire East Council. Initially Solo YJ59GHF (SL16) will be used on the service having had its blind programmed today for service. This bus is now released from the 48 Frodsham - Northwich route by need for full size vehicle on that service.

GHA have retained the Sunday / Bank Holiday Gwynedd CC Contract for Wrexham > Barmouth service. From November 4th it is to be re-numbered T3 Traws Cymru.
The timetable remains almost the same with only very minor adjustment to last journey to reflect actual running times as opposed to current running time.

At last the Cheshire East BC supported service 19 (Macclesfield-Prestbury) has seen an appropriately 'Cheshire Connect' liveried bus in the shape of SB55 - SK02 TYS. Photo HERE

Another 'Cheshire Connect' liveried Dart/Pointer in the Macclesfield area this week was SB43 - SN03 DZZ that provided the RR3 Thursday only service to Disley. Photo HERE
