With the 75 running every 10 minutes, the 79 Running every 10, Its not viable with the only real route difference being Childwall.

They wanted to get rid of the 78 alltogether (or atleast replace with either a 75 or 78) so 4 buses is better then 0

I suppose you're right. Even so, if they're going to do this I think that they should at least think about upping the frequency of the 75, at least at peak times, the buses to Halewood are overcrowded as it is. Sometimes it seems as though they'd rather get rid of buses through Hunts Cross and Halewood altogether!!

This new Saturday service is introduced by Peoplesbus.
Stopping at all bus stops along the route, the service will run on Saturday 01, 08, 15 and 22 December 2012, then the first Saturday of each month.

4/5/231/232/233 (Maghull Circulars)
Route 231: Monday to Friday peak time buses are renumbered 5 and are now operated by ACE Travel, without any subsidy from Merseytravel.
The remaining Route 231 buses are now operated for Merseytravel by Cumfybus. The route is unchanged.
Routes 232 and 233: both services are now operated for Merseytravel by Cumfybus. The routes and times are unchanged.
Route 234: this service is renumbered 4 and is now operated by ACE Travel, without any subsidy from Merseytravel. The route and the times are unchanged.

Are Arriva getting in some small vehicles for this route 174/5 , there is some tight corners and plenty of parked cars making the route a chicane on the section near Irby.
