If Arriva sold a withdrawn product then any card dispute would involve the Arriva transaction, not any transaction made with another operator. If the Selwyns ticket were printed correctly and just had the wrong fare on them then I don't think they'd be the ones who lose out if the transactions are disputed. If they weren't taking the right fares that's an issue for them and TfGM, not for the customer who made the transaction. If it wasn't clear from the ticket what had been sold then it might be a card dispute would see the Selwyns payment reversed. Of course not everyone pays by card but after many people experienced difficulties getting refunds from airlines and some travel companies, after their holidays were cancelled due to COVID, the chargeback scheme is much better known now. |

Doesn't surprise me he's not carrying on with bus work So, it seems that they refrained from even bidding to retain the routes and wanted out anyway. |

When Selwyn's bought Haytons several years ago all tendered work was given up rather fast. Again after buying his company back from RAPT DEV he got rid of tenders again. Selwyn is definitely not a fan of service work and much happier on the coach side and school routes. Can't blame him, there can be a lot of headaches with tenders |

Selwyns have been doing school contracts for a long time though. They were running some in Cheshire in the 1990s using coaches. I suppose that gives a guaranteed income and doesn't require using a coach/driver on the most popular dates for coach holidays and day trips. |

Selwyns are probably one of those firms who does put in for the tenders but does so at a silly price. IF they win, great there is a lot of profit for them (if they don't get any penalties), if they don't win, they don't care. |

RE: Greater Manchester Tenders
Just remembered back when I was at school and we had a half term trip to Alton Towers it was a Selwyn's coach that took us. The unusual thing (for a school trip) was when we got there it was the driver who got off and collected the tickets and the tickets had Selwyn's name printed on them. |

Stotts will also take over journeys on the 345 from Stagecoach in Tameside. Now that doesn't surprise me that they're coming off the Salford Work, that should release around 5 or 6 drivers which could be moved onto the newly acquired ex Stagecoach work (150 & X50) |
