It's like that everywhere at the moment , diamond in bolton are apparently 70 drivers short and come september will be around 91+ short due to drivers walking out. a lot of drivers are moving over to the wagons due to the new incentives and pay that hgv companies are now offering which you can't blame them to be honest as bus companies are offering rubbish pay deals this time around due to covid-19 and some have gone further than that by removing other benefits. |

The only Cheshire East contracted services around Macclesfield are 19 (High Peak), 88 & 130 (D&G Bus) and 391/392 (Go Goodwins.) All Arriva get from Cheshire East on their Macc routes is reimbursement for bus passes. There were some evening contracted services on some of those routes in the past but funding for those was axed a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure D&G have most, if not all, of the contracted work around Crewe. Arriva don't usually bid low for contracted work meaning they lost a lot of it when GHA and D&G started bidding for Cheshire East contracts. |

More changes but not as well publicised as it's CWACC side. Northwich - Winsford 29 is withdrawn Northwich - Rudheath 2 is withdrawn. Northwich - Winsford X29 renumbered to X31 Northwich 1 and 4 have route and timetable variations (could one of these run 'through' Northwich and replace the 2?) New route in Winsford which runs from the industrial estate, back to the industrial estate, route 7. No further details on the service though. Possibly the 29 is being replaced by the variations on the 31 and 37. |

The details of the changes are here. https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/latest-news/...t-and-west It seems like the town routes are going to be more circuitous and the interurban routes more direct. |

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot
Notice D&G are changing the 82 from the same date as Arriva are starting running the new through 1 Weaverham-Northwich-Rudheath service. It will mean D&G 82 services will run 5 minutes ahead of one of the 1 services and they will have a shorter dwell time at Watling Street in the Rudheath direction and a longer one in the Chester direction. The Sunday service (run by D&G) is also being revised to match the through route on the Mon-Sat (Arriva) service. |

Shame about the 4 going around the world for Leftwich but it makes sense for the times. Good to see the housing developments served. 31/37 - Meh. Some good, some bad. Good that some areas get faster journeys but not as good seeing the frequencies drop such as Wharton, Moulton and Davenham. One thing that I think I would change is the 37s so that the Sandbach terminator goes to Northwich as per current. Just as not many people seem to want to go end to end and it would prevent some delays and make the round trip significantly shorter so delays are more contained (given the 31 and 37 seem to interwork.). 7/7A - Good to see the improved links but shame about the frequency and having layover in the industrial estate. You'd think that they would put the layover somewhere nicer for passengers or, I think I would possibly run Winsford station to Winsford Library via the industrial estate and Wharton both directions then start the circulars west of the town centre. Or run up Crook Lane rather than Station Road so Wharton doesn't completely drop from 3bph with long distance links to 1 bus per hour local run (and another bus per hour if you don't mind sitting around the industrial estate for 6 minutes). |
