Apparently all services (Speke at least) will return to their pre-COVID timetables on the 30th August, in line with the changes to (and introduction of) 82A, 79C and 500.

Customer Information has now been put up on Speke depot buses confirming this, but cannot find this information on the website or social media.

It’s been very hard to find any information recently.

If you visit the Merseytravel Bus Timetables pages, and click the link to a timetale number, you get the current timetables - but at the bottom of some pages, there are links leading to new timetables commencing on 30 August 2020.

I notice the 30 is staying half hourly, so not everything going back to Pre-Covid timetables.

Upon further inspection of Arriva's St Helens Routes - have noted the following alterations compared to pre-Covid:

33 - down to every 30 (previously every 15 minutes)

34/34A - Saturday service down to every 15 minutes combined (previously every 10 minutes as per Mon - Fri)

329 - Sunday service down to every hour (previously every 45 minutes)

352 - Evenings & Sunday down to Hourly (previously every 30 minutes)

Thanks for that. I have seen the new timetables for routes 79 (with Queen Square journeys apparently renumbered 79Q), 79C and 500, but have so far been unable to find one for reinstated route 82A.

Yeah I’ve been waiting for Merseytravel’s 82A timetable since that’s the clearest and easiest to understand, but so far, no dice. Hopefully it should become available soon. In the meantime it’s available on Halton Council’s and Arriva’s websites.

Bus Changes from 30th Of August 2020

Services: 41/42

Old Route: Woodchurch - Birkenhead - Mill Park
New Route: Woodchurch - Birkenhead - Mill Park

Service 41 Changes:
Service resumes as normal before Covid 19.

Service 42 Changes:
Monday to Sunday Daytime Service resumes as normal before Covid 19.
Monday to Sunday Evenings Service Withdrawn.
