Northern line services having a bad start up this morning due to over-running engineering work.

Due to impending Storm Ciara , Chester line services will be revised and will now operate to merseyrail's autumn leaf fall timetable , this means services leave Chester five minutes earlier and arrive at chester five minutes later. This also means the Chester service is maintained with 4 units instead of 3 units.

Hooton to Chester has not started up this morning due to operating difficulties associated with potential flooding between hooton and Capenhurst.

Yesterday Monday 24th February , There was a rail replacement bus service for about 2 hours due to flooding of the line between Hooton and Capenhurst .
This year the flooding in that area has been particularly bad , i have lost count now how many times a bus service has had to be implemented on this part of the merseyrail network.

A train apparently caught fire at Maghull earlier resulting in the attendance of the fire brigade. Anyone know which unit was involved? Thanks

508130 is OK as it was in use with 507023 on the 0758 Southport - Hunts Cross this morning.
