RE: Arriva North West - Birkenhead Depot
All the DLAs did that N304CLV, its a safety feature designed to stop drivers driving with the doors open, they did sort it on a few of them though since they arrived.

The ferry cruise works 2 ways. you can either board in Liverpool to Salford Quays and get the bus back or get the bus from Liverpool to salford Quays and get the ferry back. 4000/1/2 havent been looked after properly no doubt the fitters hating them with being the only tridents in the fleet but out of the lot 4002 was on the road the most at speke while 000 was out now and again with 001 being the worst of the bunch and obviously still is

I have heard a mention of the Tridents going to Southport although that could be speculation.

Either way, when the hybrids arrive at Birkenhead, they'll be gone along with the Enviro400s and DLAs - the ALX300s and Myllenniums will also be gone as well if you include the Pulsar 2s currently on holiday in London.

Yes theyre supposed to be heading to southport. It will be a shame about the enviros, theyre the only decent buses left in the depot, and we can already guarantee that the hybrids will cock up drasticly at some point, most eco things have at some point. Still, cant be any worse than SMARTeco i suppose!

Are 4400 & 4401 staying at Laird Street when the rest of the batch move on? (iirc it was mentioned on here that these two are to stay)

When 4000 and 4001 were branded for the 'Lebus' 82, they were out virtually every day from what I saw. Clearly their reliability has gone downhill since moving to Birkenhead.

The three Tridents are better than when they first arrived. Not seen one at the back of the depot for a while now.

Like Jordan said 4002 seems to be the most reliable with 4000 in second place and 4001 third. One of the most noticeable problems like I mentioned the other day is the damage to the roof because they do not have tree barriers.

Cheers for jogging my memory, I remember hearing that now!

As for hybrids being unreliable - B5s are being run by First regionally, and Arriva in London and they don't seem to be posing many problems there.

NB - just a thought - is there a chance of 4400/1 getting an upstairs refurbishment with leather seats once the hybrids arrive? seeing as they will have full leather seating
