2794 has been on the 62 service all day today! Very Very much a rarity to have an eclipse on route while 2134 whidh 2794 was replacing has been on the 4a/4/x4 service

Before we know it in the next few weeks schools and colleges go back! Meaning the college services in the bangor area will be back and school services!

Out of curiousity! I had heard the p-mkl's were been replaced.... by the s-jua's but of course this doesnt seem to be the case!

So ....

a) P-mkl's are rather old now so are they still aloud to run them on school's and college services
b) Are Arriva planning to get rid?

Anyone know anything?

In terms of the age, it depends what if anything is specified in the contract

An extract from a report, which references a report from 2003, so things may have changed since then.
Quote:This study revealed that only fifteen local authorities made specific conditions around the type and specification of the vehicles in their contract. Only ten authorities imposed
conditions on the age of the vehicles and only fifteen specified the provision of seatbelts.
If Gwynedd is/was one of those who do/did not specify anything then the P-MKLs might be around a while yet.

Of course we do not know the details of the contracts.
