RE: Rossendalebus
Rosso do seem to thrive on buses from other companies, often though not always Transdev. I rode a former Spot On Eclipse in February, and saw some former Arriva and Go-Ahead London Volvo B7TLs there too in addition to Metroline examples.

Also 156. These are nominally to replace 51 reg deckers (103-9) for use on TfGM school contracts from September, but not necessarily a straight swap as there may be some shuffling around.

RE: Rossendalebus
Would there not be something a little more formal than a tweet from someone who works at Transdev??

There is now, with a £3 million investment promised in the first year!

RE: Rossendalebus
I reacon the Rochdale Rosso depot could be a very good move for CityZap given its closer proximity to Manchester and Ainsley Top. Less dead mileage. I can also see a few more express Manchester buses and a lot more competition for First. I know the size is different but the same principal. Look at what they keep doing to Connections.... I can see some big bus wars on the horizon.

RE: Rossendalebus
Quite an acquisition with 103 vehicles according to their online fleetlist. The £3m investment will be more than welcome. Transdev are definitely making a secure footing in North Manchester.

RE: Rossendalebus
Rosso do compete with First on a handful of routes but if anything i would argue that Rosso are doing better than First
