New Chester Bus Exchange
RE: New Chester Bus Exchange
Those stands seem so mixed up. Just whatever can work with the timings it looks like. No keeping buses together which go to the same place. Also, as stated earlier, NatEx need 2 stands because of the timings unless they are changing times. Blacons need 2 stands or a layover as they are timed so that 1 bus is in drop off for 3 minutes then drives forward into stand for 5 minutes. Blacons can never keep to time either so normally have 3 in the stand at a time. Will never work.

Unless it's changed national express also pics up out side the visitors centre so that probably why it's only got the one stand, I'm sure CWaC and national express liased over the matter but they currently only have the one stand in the current bus station, I one of the stands is for layover of the blacon routes. I do think the planners forgot about layovers when designing this

NatEx only pick up at the bus exchange. No longer at Visitor Centre. NatEx may only have 1 stand but when the 2 buses are in, the Park and Ride goes round into where the 11 used to stop. They normally do that when just 1 natEx is in because they are not brave enough to try and reverse out or do a tight turn. Layovers are not accomedated for whatsoever.

Remember that the existing stops on Delamere St will be retained as a layover facilities should they be needed.

RE: New Chester Bus Exchange
Ok, so you are expecting buses to drop off in the bus station to head upto the fountains, turn around then head into Delamere Street. By the time they done all that, it will be time to go back out again. Needs layover much closer. Would make much more sense to have the blacons run the 200 route into Princess Street as everyone wants them to but send them via the new interchange. So run into the new interchange then to princess street before heading out to Blacon again. Saves the 200 being a new bus. Means less layover on Blacons, very regular service to Princess street as everyone wants. Win win if you ask me. Just means the roads have to be big enough for the Pulsar/Eclipse.

I can see stand B struggling from time to time. Is there actually anywhere to lay over though?
