US Actress Shelley Duvall, known for her roles in films like The Shining, Annie Hall and Nashville, has died at the age of 75.

Her acting roles diminished during the 1990s, before subsequently disappearing from acting in 2002. She did return to acting last year when she starred in The Forest Hills.

Former world snooker champion Ray Reardon has died at the age of 91. The Welshman, who had previously been diagnosed with cancer. Reardon dominated snooker in the 1970s, claiming six world titles between 1970 and 1978. Nicknamed 'Dracula' because of his distinctive widow's peak hairstyle, he became a star as the game enjoyed a television boom. He won the first Pot Black series on BBC Two in 1969 and was made an MBE in the 1985 Queen's Birthday honours.

Disco singer Evelyn Thomas, whose powerful voice helped define the Hi-NRG scene of the 1980s, has died at the age of 70. The Chicago-born star scored an international hit with the 1984 single High Energy, which made the top five in the UK and topped the US club charts.
