Press launches for the 50 and 76 extensions have taken place over the last week.

The 50 had its launch at MediaCityUK yesterday (Thursday) with celeb lookalikes of Joanna Lumley (as Patsy from Ab Fab), Sir Bruce Forsyth and Matt Smith (as Dr Who) joining Stagecoach Manchester MD Christopher Bowles, Salford's deputy mayor Cllr Roger Jones, Peel Media MD Stephen Wild and Salford uni's director of estates Keith Beal.

Meanwhile, the 76 had a slightly less showbiz launch last Friday at Oldham bus station with Christopher Bowles being joined this time by Oldham Councillor Eddie Moores, who is councillor for Chadderton Central, an area not served directly by the 76.

One down then Smile

Doubt it will be out of service for long.
Two of AZs Enviro200's were involved in RTA's last winter in the snow, one was sustained quite bad panel damage from an accident outside morrisions in duk, yet was back on the road a week later, apparently AZ does all there own panels now so I'm sure it's already in the workshop.

I very much doubt 36422 will be missed either considering how many spare vehicles Ashton Depot have got during the day, if you walk along the canal during the week you can usually see a number of vehicles parked up out of service and these normally include the new Enviros, I'm guessing that Ashtons Enviro 200s are either back or on they way back from the Paralympics now as well

Had a ride on 17245[first time] today on the 378. The bus sounded good and went well-but boy don't you feel every single bump on the road as you go over them.

they may have a lot parked up in the day but he covers a lot of schools duties and nearly all do only the school duty az pk spares is like 9% im sure mic know the exact figures for this

i think its 79 buses at az pvr of 69/70 so they have approx 9 spare to cover all breakdowns mot`s services etc..

**mic can you give us a exact pvr for ashton depot if ya have them ta

I think most have returned and are in service. They are easy to spot as they don't have window decals for mega/day rider or any Internal/external adverts.

Interesting that AZs two Tridents seem to have been relegated to taxi duties over the last couple of days.

And completely off topic, but I realised yesterday that the 7/168/169 has moved stands to the other end of the bus station and is now at the last stand which was used for driver changeovers.
This means that the former stand used has become a dedicated coach stand.
