I noted the times for route 510 on Monday in case I made it to Bolton. I didn't in the end but did ride Arriva on this route at Christmas 2009. I lost interest in coming to Bolton at this stage partly because Arriva had lost route 273 to Maytree in April.

I must say, I'm amazed they are loosing a hel of a lot of work, In Bolton recently

told today from driver bolton only getting 10 and of jan 2013 however he feels something big time is going on so when i find out whats going on i will post it

There's All sorts of rumours flying round at moment even wild ones that arriva are to sell northwest with stagecoach after buying

I think that's a rumour that can very safely be put to bed; NW is one of the most profitable regions I believe and anyway, if that were the case, we wouldn't be seeing continued orders of new vehicles year on year.

i agree, my feeling is bolton are going for a new depot as i been informed today bolton was rejected the new land, something about planning permission but i do intend to push deeper into this

What's happening with Manchester, their route network and their vehicle allocation? The depot has been on borrowed time for the last couple of months from what I gather and I'd have thought that Arriva would be unwilling to drag it out too much further. It wouldn't surprise me hugely if some Bolton work moves on to other garages (i.e. the 360 over to St Helens) to allow Manchester routes in if Arriva are unable to find any extra space at Bolton.

i dont know how true this part is but am told 3 buses are parked out the main road outside the depot with a gaurd overnight something i keep meaning to look into
