Warrington's Own Buses

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
It turn out that the 5 will only have an evening service between Warrington and Lymm (not continuing to Altrincham): https://assets.ctfassets.net/nv7y93idf4j...C-0611.pdf Probably this renumbering shows the end of the "Cheshire Cat" brand now that the electric vehicles have been arriving. The replacement for the X5 between Lymm and Altrincham is only every 2 hours: https://assets.ctfassets.net/nv7y93idf4j...C-0580.pdf |

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
I caught one of the MMCs on the X5 yesterday and noticed the tickets now have yellow branding and on the back there's slogans like "We're electrifying! Powered by renewable energy" and "You aren't just using the bus, you're saving the planet" |

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
Timetables for January 2025 have started becoming available, e.g. here is the timetable for the new 5A, which will run every hour Monday to Saturday, daytime only, via Latchford, taking about 60 minutes for a round trip: https://www.warringtonsownbuses.co.uk/se...n=outbound (The PDFs on there are out-of-date). Also available on Bustimes.org. |

And skilfully timed at Lymm not to connect with the services from Altrincham. I wonder how long either service will survive. ? |

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
There is quite a bit of demand for Lymm to Warrington with Lymm not having a station. I guess most would use the fastest into Warrington, and then whichever service is next when returning. |
