When the Skylink between T1/T3 and the Interchange/T2 was closed, then there was a bus replacement, which would occasionally be used by plane spotters. However, I think the only remaining services are to/from car parks, so would require (in theory) a staff pass to travel to staff car park, or parking ticket/receipt for airline passengers travelling to/from remote car parks.

Spotters can park up at the viewing area. No-one ever checks for parking tickets. However if you spend too long hanging around on the buses or at stops, likely someone will have a security concern.

RE: Manchester Airport Buses
Jeez guys why is everyone making this complicated??? Its this simple here's what you do:

(1)E-mail manchester airport group explaing that your a bus spotter wishing to ride some of the vehicles/take phots of the fleet.

(2)If questioned by a driver or security staff, make sure you've got I'd on you. Happened to me few wks bk & didn't have anything on me at the time which didn't go down too well!!!!

This is what I do whenever heading over there to phot/ride airport buses fleet. They're usually fine with it, be aware though that there's a couple of real jobsworth security staff around who can be pretty nasty if they don't like looks of you.

RE: Manchester Airport Buses
Iv only seen the 5 artics (BU53ZWV,FJ53LZX,LK53FCN,BX07NME/F) in The Coach Center depot entrance dont think the others have entered service yet plus iv seen a lot of the darts in the service area with bits missing or parts pinched HSO/U/V and ETU where there last i got told now only HSO and ETU are in that corner by the security gate. There a hard fleet to keep upto date when not many pics go up on Flickr. If anyone has pics id be happy to add them to the fleetlist

RE: Manchester Airport Buses
Usually this one is the only one I need pictures of to know there with the airport as its the hardest one on the site to keep track of being that people tend to mix the photo names in with planespotter photos on Flickr

RE: Manchester Airport Buses
YX18 KYA/B are two more Enviro200's here, delivered yesterday. They are all over white and to a similar spec to the batch delivered last year. These are still to the 'classic' design, so presumably ex dealer stock.

Further to this, KYC/E/F are also here, officially for a new park and ride route, to be introduced once drop off parking charges are implemented at all 3 terminals. In the meantime, a few are out on existing services, including KYC which I've driven this week:

Another new Enviro200 here is 8.9m SN15LKY, which appears to have previously served at Edinburgh airport, with Stephensons of Easingwold and McGills.
