Date service changes: 3 April 2015
What's changing? The service will be withdrawn and will no longer run after this date.

Surely the 38 should be extended to Ormskirk, or at least alternate journeys.

I hope it is replaced in some form as people travel to Ormskirk for the Uni, Work and the Market

I had a feeling this would happen as the timetable is so irregular for journeys to Ormskirk and unless a service is a standard frequency, people tend to struggle with the times.

Anyway, back to today's business:

Cant see it, Arriva would not do anything like that without getting Funding for it and Lancashire CC are very tight on their Budget

Yeah but if the students bought term passes or yearly student passes may tempt them

If its profitable it wouldnt be getting withdrawn obviously! Or it wouldnt have been threatened and chopped and changed so much over recent years. And of course someone else will obviously jump at the chance to run it!

I think its Partly down to the fact of the Distance the route is away from the Depot and i also think its Partly down to the gaps in the service at School starting/letting out Time.

Maybe someone else will step in to operate the Service as its only been put online today that SLT are pulling the service.
