I haven't seen it in a few months I was thinking the same, so a couple of Saturdays ago I walked around the perimeter of the depot. There was clearly an ALX400 parked outside the back, and, having already seen both 30912 and 30915 out in service within the previous hour, I assume that it was 30894. (The only additional identifying feature I could see from that distance was that it had the "No more bad breath ever" advertisement on the offside!) What did take me by surprise though, was that there was an ELC Pyoneer parked next to it! I thought these were all long gone. Having checked DVLA, only P425 PVW and R447 ULE are still SORN (the rest are all Untaxed which usually implies sale to a dealer), and I see from photos online that 31947 has recently been repainted red, so am guessing that the remaining example at BN depot is 31925. Anyone confirm? Furthermore, looking around the back from Fairclough Street, it looked as though there was an even older, black double-decker parked near that corner of the yard. I could only see a very small part of the upper deck and couldn't identify the body type, but the shape and height gave me a gut feeling of an Atlantean or early Olympian. Anyone any ideas what it is? |
