All in all it took about 3 hours to sort . 185115 was the unit that failed,the assisting unit went wrong way from Huyton to St Helens Junction to couple to the front then as stated above further problems developed so the assisting unit had the passengers transferred onto it which then ran to Huyton to get the passengers to there to change onto Northern to Lime St,the assisting unit then went back to the failed unit and with assistance from a fitter from Ardwick depot the units coupled up and ran ECS to Ardwick after crossing over at Huyton,all in all the failure/line being blocked lasted from approximately 0750-1135 |
