I would actually see some of the franchises have standard liveries , basically Arriva Rail North will be in TfN area eventually , TfN should set a standard livery which any franchise will use saves a lot of money at franchise changes times , much like Scotrail.

It will probably become boring for the rail enthusiast but the passengers then know what colour train it is there getting no matter what .
