Have to say I really hope the newer Enviro 400's on loan to AZ don't stay, been on two over the weekend on the 236/7 and they are very slow and sluggish when climbing up hills compared to AZ's regular older examples.
I'm sorry to hear the 08's are like that.
I would have thought Ashton would have been pleased with something a little newer, but if they're not much good with hills then the Glossop route isn't really for them I suppose. I have to say the current Ashton Enviro400's are really starting to show their age now. Some sound really rough and there have also been a few breakdowns recently. But I suppose they're still a bit young to go Magic and I wouldn't think Stagecoach would be looking to replace them for a while given all the money they've just spent on Hybrids and the other 12 reg's.
Interestingly since Saturday, when two 08 reg Enviros on the 236/7's I've seen non in Glossop since. Perhaps the allocator has taken note
Have to agree regarding some of AZs Enviros, they do sound in a bad way, and as a passenger they are very noisy downstairs compared to the younger ones. It would be nice to see some younger ones at AZ.
