There was a couples of years around 2000 when the 60s hadnt seen a double decker on them at all. It was when Bootle got the ex North Western East Lancs D10Ms (i think). One had to go out to see if the route was still suitable for deckers (mainly trees) before they could go out in service on the 60. This might of actually been the first time Arriva had deckers on the 60. Too long ago to remember every detail.
