Perhaps the Enviros will replace the X reg cadets. I often see standing passengers on 409, 410, 413 and 414 so these might help. Very seldom does a 487 leave Birkenhead during the afternoon without standees but there is the railway bridge in Neston to prohibit Double Deckers. The answer is to increase the frequency or introduce part way journeys to, say, Clatterbridge.
