If I've read this correctly, Arriva are putting on an almost full service for Boxing Day and New Year's Day in the Merseyside area, albeit with an early evening finish. This must surely be the most comprehensive bus service for the festive period since Deregulation. It would seem that Arriva management have recognised that there is a demand for bus services on one of the busiest shopping days of the year and responded accordingly. Unfortunately, there are certain areas that will not be served such as Formby and Maghull. I wonder if Stagecoach intend to follow suit and if Merseytravel will fill in the gaps? |
