When you look at their history against First in Sheffield, Northampton and North Devon, once they move into First's area they steadily build up the pressure by taking on new services and develop a full and effective network. They appear to be building on the 50, 32 and X34 with the 74/75 and soon the 38. JPT would give them the opportunity to increase their coverage of Moston/Middleton at a stroke. The only exception is Glasgow where they seem happy with a smaller operation but in Manchester First have laid down the gauntlet with the extension of the 18 and now 42. Interesting times!!

I think it's only a matter of time before Stagecoach increase thier presence in the Middlton/Moston area but I really carnt see them being remotely interested in JPT.
Buying Bluebird has given them a base and a presence in Middleton so all they have to do is expand on what they already have.

I think if the price was low enough they wouldn't say no but I don't think JPT are on their wish list.
