Looking at bus times looks like it made it to the bridge then turned around, luckily after events in Manchester the last few days! Strange allocation anyway however i remember when we had the DLAs these appeared on the 32 a couple of times at least, and I'm sure deckers used to run on the old 23/24 but of course they didn't go via Gerards Lane.
