I don't know how someone can make that mistake. Yes a driver can easily take a wrong turn, especially on a long route. However, that turn is obviously wrong if you're driving a lorry or a double decker bus, and someone has decided to spend money there to avoid bridge strikes.

What makes it worse is if you look at Streetview from April 2023 the police had blocked off the road, and the bridge is damaged.
