Government bails out bus firms to keep routes open: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52122342

As the article mentions at the bottom they can also furlough drivers so they can get 80% pay while putting drivers on leave due to a lack of work - the same as any other business which needs to reduce it's wage bill temporarily due to COVID-19.
